Transferring Domain to Lunarpages

Lunarpages does not only do web hosting, and do domain name registrations too! What if you have your domain name registered with another company, and you wish to transfer domain to lunarpages instead? That too is a very easy task to accomplish.

Transfering my domain name from existing registra to Lunarpages. This domain name was previously registered with godaddy. And after having a hosting plan with lunarpages, i am happy with their service provided. Now, its the time for me to transfer remainging domain to lunarpages, and by so lunarpages will become my registra.

First step is for me to change the nameserver of the domain to point to lunarpages nameserver. And wait for domain propagation to complete. Next, what i need to do next is login to godaddy control panel, and unlock the domain name. After unlock domain, i need to email lunarpages support to inform them to proceed with the domain transfer.

Anonymous or domain privacy is also offered by lunarpages hosting. With this activated, whois will not show my personal information. Instead, it will shows lunarpages support and contact information. Thus, my privacy is fully protected.

Note: Domains with private registration or domains that are locked can not be transferred. You will need to unlock or remove the private registration before we can transfer. Lunarpages can not transfer a domain that has been recently (60-90 days, depending on registrar) renewed with another registrar (clientTransferProhibited status in WHOIS), or expired domains. Please be sure to double check these factors before requesting the domain name transfer to start.

What does addon domain name means? It mean that you can add more websites to your lunarpages unlimited domain hosting account as you want. Lunarpages hosting offing unlimited addon domain name. and it very easy to add additional addon domains to your lunarpages hosting plan.

You would create an addon domain to point another domain to a subfolder or subdomain of your main domain. The addon can have its own e-mail accounts, but can not have its own control panel. The first step you need to take is to login to your lunarpages control panel. Once you have made your way to the front page, please click on icon marked "Addon Domains", and add the new domain name from there.
